Northeast Laser & Electropolish Announces Further Expansion of Laser Marking and Engraving Capabilities

The latest system has advanced scan head markers that perform jobs requiring work on contoured surfaces or with multiple levels. All four active systems are capable of marking or engraving (without tiling) artwork as large as 800 mm x 800 mm with consistent spot size and power density

Northeast Laser & Electropolish has integrated a new laser marking and engraving system that utilizes an advanced scan head with large-field marking capability. This is the company’s fourth laser marking and engraving system and a fifth is in production.

The latest system has advanced scan head markers that perform jobs requiring work on contoured surfaces or with multiple levels. It is powered by a Ytterbium fiber laser for rapid, deep engraving and marking. All four active systems are capable of marking or engraving (without tiling) artwork as large as 800 mm x 800 mm with consistent spot size and power density.
Of the new large field marker system, Kurt England, a partner at Northeast Laser explained,

“Typical laser marking and engraving applications for this system include the marking of panels, tubing, wire, and medical device components; and the engraving of tooling, firearms, commemorative cutlery, nameplates, and so many others.”
